I've been thinking about habits recently.
How they serve us, and how they don't.
How to change the ones we no longer desire in our lives, and how to establish new ones that we do desire.
There are some excellent books about his topic, two of which are The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg, and Atomic Habits by James Clear.
Both of those books explain the why and how of habits, and give some practical ways to change them, very well.
Now, instead of quoting those books, I would like to share with you some of my own experience navigating habits. Some knowledge and wisdom I've gleaned from my life, my longtime practice of mindfulness, and my hypnotherapy training.
